OK, here's your action for the day! We're sending a letter to the EPA asking them to ban endosulfan, a dangerous pesticide that is already banned in Europe. Not only does it cause all sorts of toxicities with acute exposure, but there have been studies that link in utero exposure to autism. (And for those of you who know me, know that this is one of my soap box issues!) So please go to the EarthJustice website and send your message today! (Image stolen from aforementioned website)

Endosulfan can and should be used safely and judiciously. Endosulfan does not pose dangers to humans, animals, or the environment when exposure remains below the NOEL. This is why an ADI, MRLs, and PHIs have been determined. Endosulfan is a key IPM and IRM ingredient. Finally, tolerant strains of Trichogramma and Chrysoperla make it the pesticide of choice during flowering.
