TreeHugger.com - Getting Recession Ready

In light of the current economic forecast, I've been thinking about ways that I can save money.  Not that I don't have a reliable income that is unlikely to change (for the next year or two anyway), but it might not be a bad idea to try and save a bit.  Tree Hugger has a new article out about getting ready for a recession - the Green Way.  The most ridiculous part is that these are mostly common sense suggestions that save lots of money: Ditch prepared foods.  Eat less meat.  Get rid of your car (or at least, use it a lot less).  Get the last drop out of your toothpaste & shampoo.  I think the author took a page from The Tightwad Gazette.  But seriously, all of these are easy to do and are environmentally friendly.  See - I'm not crazy for trying to get what's left of the old bar of soap to stick to the new bar!  Now if only I could talk myself into reusing old coffee grounds.  (Ew!)
